I would like to know whether our away following is really as poor as suggested on another football forum.

It is claimed we rarely if ever fill the away end or take up our full allocation in the prem.

It is also suggested that we have the smallest following from the big 4 west mid teams...

i dont usually go to the away games because they are far too expensive for the quality of the stadium and football team.

The quality of our team might not be amazing but with the effort they have put in this season surely that is priceless?

i never meant our team, our team is the best ;), i meant more of their team

**thumbup Just because we may not always manage to fill the allocation, doesn't make it a bad following.

During the "Sulky Years", we would always take the minimum allocation "Just in case". I don't remember them asking for a 2nd allocation while they were in charge (happy to be coerrected here!)

In order to actually qualify for an away ticket, you now have to have had some sort of relationship with the dog of the mother of the bloke who used to work in the club shop in 1942!!

It's no wonder it's hard to fill our allocation!!

There are a lot of our season ticket holders who spend their money ( :applause: ) supporting the club at every home game & can't afford to go to all of the away games.

OK - there is the Away Travel Club - which is quite rightly for those who enjoy the "Away Experience", but there are also a lot of people who, for example, live "Up North" or "Down South" who would like a "Half Travel Club" membership.
By the time you've got the chance to buy a ticket for an away game, you've hardly got the time to get the train to make kick off!!!!

From my experience (& I've been to a couple of hundred away games over the last 25 - 30 years), I enjoy the away games FAR more than the home games - I don't know why, they're just more fun!

There's nothing wrong with our away support - just the way that we sell the tickets < <

I was sat in the home section for the Hull game and thought our fans were brilliant, drowned out the Hull fans for large periods and that was with a few coaches stuck on the motorway.
